FITNESS SERVICES:
We offer to the community and former
patients of Loudoun Sports Therapy Center, the opportunity to utilize our
facility as a fitness center or gym. This is basically like belonging to
your local fitness center or gym with many additional services. There are
many benefits of utilizing Loudoun Sports Therapy Center for your fitness
needs including:

Licensed staff: Unlike your local or national chains of fitness
centers, Loudoun Sports Therapy Center has only licensed medical
professionals. This training is far beyond the training that your typical
personal trainer receives. The training of a physical therapist allows
you the ability to train in your current healthily state as well as
prevent injury. In the event that injury does arise (which is always a
possibility) the therapist is well qualified to treat the injury that
comes about.

Our training allows us to deal with your other health
issues while starting and maintaining a fitness program: As we age, our
bodies begin to develop other conditions such as high blood pressure,
diabetes, heart related risk issues and more. Again the specific
training of a physical therapist allows us to design and maintain a
fitness program that will help you to manage these and other issues while
achieving your fitness goals. We have programs that are specifically
designed for such health conditions as: Diabetes, High Blood Pressure,
Osteoporosis, Arthritis, etc.
SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING:
In Northern VA it has become very popular to see young
and adult athletes partaking in “Sport Specific Training” programs. While
these programs are capable of helping the athlete to advance their
performance in their desired sport they many times are not designed with the
specific athlete in mind. The 13-year-old female soccer player should not
be doing the same program that a 30-year male does. Unfortunately, this is
the weakness of our competitors; they do not tailor the programs to each
athletes needs. With the help of a physical therapist, you will have a
program designed specifically to you. This means that you will undergo a
comprehensive evaluation that determines whether you are at risk for any
injury as part of your sport. In addition, we will also look at how your
body is prepared to participate in your sport. From this information, we
will tailor a specific program designed at improving any or all of the
following areas: strength, speed, agility, and performance. You will work
with the therapist to perform your specific program over a specific time
period.
